China Glaze GR8

GR8? Not so much.

This is a holographic gold, and when it is directly in the sun it is pretty:

But when there is no sun it looks like a dirty green. I don't know about you, but I expect my polish to look at least acceptable in all lights.

YUCK:

Death Cab Nails

I am pissed I forgot to swatch this color on it's own because it is seriously awesome. I am really digging both of the Claire's polishes I've gotten, I think I'm going to get some more since the formula and glitter is amazingggg.

I did this manicure in honor of the Death Cab for Cutie concert I went to. They were seriously amazing! Here is the album cover I was honoring:

And here are my nails, Claire's Galaxy and a white striper polish:

Congratulations!

Congratulations to Laura, the winner of my giveaway.

She has 24 hours to respond to my e-mail or I'll choose another winner.

Mystery Essie

Can I have some help identifying this shade? I got it (and a light blue) super duper cheap at Ocean State Job Lot.

This is a pretty dusty rose, does it look familiar to anyone?

Natural light and then flash.

I'll be announcing the results of my giveaway tonight!

More blue for Autism

:Oops... Blogger hates me:

Absolutely adore this color... one I've seen on just about every blog possible.

It is the aptly named Revlon’s Top Speed Fast Dry Nail Enamel Royal. It is a gorgeous jelly, not totally opaque (see VNL), but completely wearable.

I then played around with my new Art Deco striping colors. I really like how this turned out.

Also, check out my giveaway, only 2 days left!

Obnoxious

These nails are so obnoxious! At least that's what my mother told me.

I kept getting distracted by them while I was driving... DAY GLOW

This is Spoiled Jail Bait. The brush on it was interesting, very think and oval-shaped. Three coats, still sheer but that's neon for you.

Then I did a patchwork mani with scotch tape i.e. Chloe. I used Sinful Colors Why Not and Essie Power Clutch

Far from perfect, but obnoxious!!

Another quicky today

I'm subbing today so I just had time for a quick post.

I started with China Glaze Concrete Catwalk, a dark creme gray. (Sorry for the sucky clean-up job)

I added CG Lux and Lush

And mattified the whole thing... I haven't matted in forever!

Gamer Glam

My bestest friend in the whole world got me 5 polishes for my birthday, and this beauty was one of them: China Glaze Gamer Glam.

Here it is in natural light,

And in sunlight (sooo pretty!)

I added a stamp from the Red Angel plates, the stamp that made me want the whole set. I couldn't find my Konad black so I used Sally Hansen Black Out

Sorry for the quick post today, check out my GIVEAWAY.

Autism Blue

First thing's first: just 1 more follower needed until a super amazing give-away!!!

Now, April is autism awareness month. I am looking to get my masters in Special Education and this is something close to my heart. I'd like to do blue nails at least once a week this month in support.

This is China Glaze Blue Iguana. This was a birthday present from my wonderful boyfriend. The impressive thing about this polish is that is wasn't on my wish list, he saw it and thought I would like it. Boy was he right! I wore this for FOUR DAYS with no art, that's how absolutely in love with this color I am.

This is an electric blue with blue and purple shimmers. It does require 3-coats, but the formula was the perfect consistency. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Smooth Sailing

I am completely in love with Essie's Smooth Sailing. I don't have a lot of Essie because of the price, but this one is awesome! I'm not sure if you need it if you own OPI I don't give a Rotterdam.

Here are some pictures of the polish on its own:

I then used my striping tape to create stripes, adding one coat of Sinful Colors Mint Apple. After removing the striping tape I felt like something was missing so I used a dotting tool and Kleancolor Cappuccino and Zoya Avery

I love the way this turned out, I actually left it on for 3 whole days!

OPI Holland Collection

I know this is like a million years late but here are my two polishes from the Holland Collection. I definitely liked these polishes, the formula and coverage was solid. I want others from the collection if I can get my hands on them.

Here is Vampsterdam:

And I don't give a Rotterdam:

Sparkles and Glitter!!!

I made this polish all on my own!!! It is soooo sparkly I cannot even handle it. I took so many pictures trying to show the sparkles and I just want to show them all.
